Fiskars was founded in 1649 in Fiskars Village, Finland, where the company began as an ironworks. Over time it developed tools used in gardening, cooking, and household tasks. Fiskars became widely recognized after introducing its orange-handled scissors in 1967. The ergonomic design made cutting easier and more comfortable during repeated use. Today the brand produces kitchen tools, knives, and cooking equipment designed for durability and efficient everyday use.
