To choose the right size of tablecloth for your dining table, start from your table length and allow for the drop of the cloth on each side.
At Tavola, we recommend a drop length of about 25cm to 30cm for each side, and a tablecloth that is 50cm to 60cm bigger than the width of your table.
For example: if your rectangular table measures 100cm in length, add 25cm to 30cm for each side, so 50cm to 60cm in total. Then order a 150cm x 230cm tablecloth. If you’re not sure, you can always order the next largest size we carry.
Take into a consideration a space of about 60 to 75cm per person on a table setting. Here are the dimensions of a rectangular tablecloth related to the number of chairs:
Length 250cm: 6 people.
Length 300cm: Up to 8 people.
