Performance Cut Technology - Traditional Forging Craft and the Latest 'Made in Germany' Technology

WMF follows the tradition of cutlers and uses particular care for this craft. It operates one of the largest blade forges in Hayingen - a small town in Germany.

Hundreds of thousands of knives are made in WMF’s factory every year with the traditional drop forging process. Blades made of special blade steel are worked over the whole length with the forging hammer.

Each knife undergoes a rigorous 30-step quality control process. The result is 'Made in Germany' phenomenally sharp, precise knife blades that retain their cutting performance for a long time.
