Emile Henry Proofing Basket

The Emile Henry Proofing Basket is an essential tool for any artisan baker. Designed to support your dough during its crucial final rise, this basket ensures your loaves develop the ideal structure and shape before hitting the oven. Its thoughtful design promotes optimal air circulation around the dough, contributing to a beautifully developed crust and an airy crumb. Consistently achieve professional-looking bread with minimal effort, from rustic sourdoughs to classic yeasted loaves.

• Provides structural support during proofing, preventing dough from spreading and ensuring a perfectly rounded, uniform loaf every time.
• The included, washable linen liner guarantees effortless release of even the stickiest doughs, simplifying transfer to your baking surface while maintaining dough integrity.
• The basket's design, complemented by the breathable linen, aids in forming a slight "skin" on the dough's surface, which is key for achieving a crisp, golden-brown crust during baking.
• The natural material of the basket, combined with the liner, creates a stable microclimate, encouraging a consistent and thorough rise throughout the dough.
• The removable linen liner makes cleaning exceptionally simple – just brush off excess flour, and if needed, hand wash and air dry for repeated use.
