Staub Cast Iron Wok Set, Black Matte

Made in France, the Staub sturdy cast iron wok is great for quick-cooking dinners like stir fries, and other one-pot meals. Not just for stir-fries, this pan is designed for searing, sautéing, browning, steaming, and deep frying as well. The accompanying semi-circle metal wok rack lets you keep ingredients warm without continuing to cook on the hot pan surface. It can also be used to drain oil from ingredients before removing them from the wok. With a tight-fitting, glass lid, you can keep an eye on food while it cooks, ensuring heat is locked in when steaming.

• Cast iron distributes and retains heat remarkably well, ensuring even cooking.
• Textured black matte enamel interior requires no seasoning and ensures exceptional browning.
• Wide, angled sides facilitate stirring without spilling and help to reduce grease splatter on the stovetop.
• Features two easy-to-grip helper handles for maximum manoeuvrability.
• Suitable for all stovetops including induction.

Set Contains:

• 1x Wok
• 1x Glass lid
• 1x Rack

Use Directions:

• Although cast iron is known to sustain very high temperatures, we recommend you gradually increase the heat from low to medium to high in order to avoid thermal shocks and damage to the surface of the cast iron.
• Select a stovetop that appropriately corresponds to the base size of your pan.
• When using induction stovetops and glass-ceramic surfaces, always lift your pan rather than pushing it, to avoid damage to the cooking surface.
• Use silicone or wooden cooking utensils to avoid scratching the enamelled surface of the pan.
• The pan can be used as ovenware up to 240°C.
• Suitable for use on any cooktop, including induction.
• Never put a hot pan on an unprotected surface.

Care Tips:

• Allow the pan to cool before rinsing it with water.
• If food residues have stuck to the pan, do not use abrasive or corrosive detergents, scouring powder or steel sponges to remove them. Instead, soak the pan in warm water and then remove the residues with a wash-up liquid and non-scouring sponge.
• Dry the pan thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel and only store it away when it is completely dry.
• Though the pan can be washed in a dishwasher, it is recommended that you clean it by hand for long-lasting and durable use.
