• Optimized for steady, even heat, Le Creuset's enamel interior resists staining, dulling, and wear and tear.
• Enamel interior's light sand color requires no pre-seasoning, makes it easy to monitor browning while cooking, ensuring less sticking and burning and is well suited for moist cooking methods.
• Compatible with all cooktops including induction, and oven-safe.
• Serves 6-8 people.

Why Le Creuset Casserole is a must-have?
An essential kitchen classic, Le Creuset’s French-made enameled cast iron Casserole (also known as Cocotte or Dutch Oven) is extremely versatile. It has excellent heat distribution and retention properties and is perfect for slow cooking, baking, and high-temperature searing. The Casserole’s tight-fitting lid locks in moisture wonderfully, allowing food to baste in its juices.

Because it has been built to last:
Cast individually in a sand mold and hand-inspected by French artisans, this enameled cast iron Casserole is sturdy inside out. Its colorful exterior enamel resists chipping and cracking, while the interior enamel has been engineered to withstand staining and dulling.

It retains heat wonderfully:
Cast iron is excellent at spreading heat evenly and retaining it across the vessel. It’s perfect to use in an oven or on a stovetop. Everything you stir-fry, simmer, sear, braise, roast, or bake in the Casserole tastes beyond delectable.

Because it’s a pleasure to use:

• The enhanced lid retains moisture, creating succulent dishes, and has stabilizers to prevent rocking, keeping it snugly in place.
• Its knob is heat resistant (the maximum temperature depends on the knob's type), and provides a secure grip while handling the lid.
• With easy-grip, ergonomic oversized handles that provide even weight distribution, the Casserole is convenient to lift and move around, while the unique curved sides make stirring so easy and effective.

About the Sand Interior Enamel

• The glossy sand-colored finish is an enamel coating, does not need to be pre-seasoned, and makes the cookware easier to use and maintain.
• While you’re cooking, the light-colored sand enamel allows for easy monitoring of the cooking process and is particularly well-suited for moist cooking methods. You can easily see the brown bits, also known as the fond, on the bottom of the broad cooking surface of the pot, and keep watch so that they don’t burn.
• The smooth, almost glossy finish of the sand enamel also means food is less likely to stick to the pot or pan, and easily releases to make cleanup a breeze.
• One of the many benefits of using an enamel coating is that glass is inert, which means it won’t absorb odors or flavors from your food. It is also great for storing leftovers and won’t react with acidic foods like tomatoes and citrus.

Use Directions:

• Use silicone tools or wooden/heat-resistant plastic tools. Metal utensils may be used with care but they should not be used harshly or scraped over the cooking surface as this may cause damage.
• Use the product on the most appropriately sized hob ring — it’ll make your food cook more evenly, and reduce the risk of damage to the handles and sides. This is especially important on induction hobs: if you use the wrong-sized ring, there’s a risk the hob won't ‘recognize’ the product.
• Cooking on medium or low heat gets the best results — even for frying and searing. Let the product heat up gradually for great-tasting food that’s cooked evenly. If you do need to use a higher heat, lower the setting once the desired heat has been reached.
• Never slide the product on any glass-topped hob/stove top, as this may cause damage to the product base and the glass. Instead, always lift the product on and off, or across the surface.
• Suitable for all cooktops - including induction.
• Oven-safe.

Care Tips:

• Wait for your product to cool down before you start cleaning it.
• Wipe any leftovers off the base and sides of the product. If there’s food stuck on, fill the product with warm, soapy water and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes before washing as usual.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or metal, harsh abrasive, or very stiff cleaning pads or brushes on any of the surfaces.
• Dry well after washing and store in a dry place.
• Dishwasher-safe, however, hand-washing is recommended.
