The Microplane Master Series Zester features an ultra-sharp stainless steel blade that zests citrus and finely grates ingredients without tearing or bruising. The elegant walnut wood handle provides a comfortable grip and a classic look. It is specifically engineered to remove the flavorful, outermost layer of citrus peels (the zest) without digging into the bitter white pith underneath. The result is a light, fluffy "angel hair" consistency. While it's most famous for citrus, it also excels at grating hard cheeses into fine wisps, or producing a delicate, airy powder from ingredients like nutmeg, ginger, and chocolate.
