Riedel Black Tie Amadeo Decanter

The Amadeo was launched in 2006 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of RIEDEL. Named after fellow Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, whose 250th birthday was also celebrated that year, this hand-blown decanter is shaped like a lyre and pours like a dream. Grape juice is simply decanted into the vessel’s wider opening and poured into the glass through its slender mouth.

• This piece features a black stripe throughout the design, achieved by introducing a rod of black crystal into the molten glass before the decanter has been formed.
• Handmade of clear crystal glass.
• This decanter is designed to hold a single bottle of grape juice.
• Glassmakers individually craft each item so every piece has a unique character.

Care Tips:

• Hand-wash only.
• The RIEDEL Bottle Cleaner cannot be used with this product as it can become lodged and unable to be removed.
• Rinse the decanter with clear water immediately after use to ensure that no residue remains in the decanter.
• Fill the decanter with warm water and let it stand overnight. The next day, remove the water and then fill the decanter with about ½ litre of distilled water. Swirl the decanter with the distilled water in it and then pour it out again.
• Water and citric acid or vinegar essence can also be used to clean the decanter, then rinse well to avoid odours.
• For stubborn stains, you can also try special cleaning tabs for glassware.
• Cleaning beads can help to remove stubborn stains inside the decanter. Simply fill the decanter with warm water, slowly and carefully pour the cleaning beads into the decanter through a funnel and swirl the pearls around for about two minutes. Then carefully pour off the pearls using a sieve insert, rinse, dry and store for later use.
