Bialetti was founded in 1919 in Crusinallo, Italy, by Alfonso Bialetti. In 1933 the company introduced the Moka Express, a stovetop coffee maker that allowed households to prepare espresso-style coffee at home. The Moka pot quickly became part of everyday Italian coffee culture. Bialetti continues to produce stovetop coffee makers, coffee blends, and related accessories. The brand remains closely associated with traditional home espresso preparation.
